Lyrics + Section Cues

Before you begin

• Have the song title, artist, and lyrics ready.
• Put each section name on its own line: Intro:, Verse 1:, Chorus:, and so on.
• If the song is Performance Ready, open it from Songs and click or tap the green status badge beside the title. Choose Needs Work or In Progress, then select Save Status to reactivate editing.

What a simple song looks like

Type each section name on its own line and end it with a colon. Put the lyric lines below it:

Intro:

Verse 1:
The first lyric line goes here
The second lyric line goes here

Chorus:
This is the main line of the chorus
This is the next chorus line

Verse 2:
The next verse starts here

Outro:

Blank lines make the song easier to read but are optional. For this first goal, enter words and section headings only; chords and measured timing can be added later.

Look up a well-known song instead

1. Enter the correct title and artist on Song.
2. Continue to Lyrics and select Lookup Lyrics. Internet access is required.
3. In Choose a Lyrics Version, compare the title, artist, type, version, rating, and verification details.
4. For this guide, choose Use lyrics only. Use lyrics + chords rebuilds the chart from that version.
5. Review the words and headings, correct anything that differs from the version you perform, then select Save & Continue. Nothing is committed until you save it.

Prepare the song

1. Open Songs, choose + Add Song, and enter the title and artist.
2. Under What do you want to prepare?, choose Lyrics + section cues.
3. Select Save & Continue.
4. On Lyrics, paste, type, or look up the lyrics and add a heading for every section.
5. Review the order and fix missing or duplicate headings.
6. On Colors, optionally assign colors. To configure your usual role names and default colors, open More → Display, scroll to Lyric Role Colors, edit the role names, and choose each color. These defaults save automatically on this device.
7. On Cues, review the section buttons created from your headings and add any section actions you need.
8. On Finish, review the song and select Save Song.

Set up and test a pedal (optional)

1. Pair the AirTurn in the device’s Bluetooth Settings and set it to Mode 3 (keyboard arrow keys).
2. In Cuevera, open More → Pedal.
3. Choose 2-Button (AirTurn BT-200) or 4-Button (AirTurn BT-500 / Duo 500).
4. For two buttons, assign Previous Section and Next Section. On four buttons, Up and Down already control those actions.
5. Select the Live Test box, press every pedal button, and confirm the expected action appears.
6. Open the song and move through every section. If Live Test works but the song does not move, enable More → Display → Make section navigation available.

Collapse the header during performance

• Tap the single chevron in Song View for Compact View. This reduces the header while keeping the compact controls you selected.
• Tap the double chevron for Focus View. By default, only the title and artist remain so the song content gets the most space.
• Tap the active chevron again to restore the previous controls.
• Choose what remains in each layout under More → Display, in the Compact View and Focus View sections.

Test it

1. Open the song from Songs.
2. Tap each section and confirm Cuevera moves to the correct lyrics.
3. Test every configured pedal action.
4. Test Compact View and Focus View, then restore the full header.
5. Adjust lyric size if needed and rehearse the full song once.

You are done when

• Every lyric is readable.
• Every section has the right name and order.
• Every section button opens the correct place.
• Every configured pedal button fires the expected action.
• The preferred header layout leaves enough room for the lyrics.
